CD Description
Misfits follows five early-20s delinquents on community service in Wertham (a fictional borough in London) who are caught outside during an electrical thunder storm and acquire special powers. Kelly gains the ability to read the thoughts of others, Curtis can rewind time when experiencing an immense sense of regret, Alisha sends people into a sexual frenzy when they touch her skin, and Simon can become invisible. Seemingly left unaffected is smart alec Nathan.
Music is a massive part of the show, and the highlights from both series are included here including the theme music from The Rapture and specially commissioned score music from Vince Pope (including end credits).

What I love about this album is that all the music that I wanted to listen to again is now all in one album.
My favourite has got to be the theme tune by the Rapture, who I never heard of before Misfits. It's a punk-dance vibe of it that is a strong tune to lead on the show.
The show features other songs by popular bands by Blur, the Fratellis and the Chemical Brothers, while also new bands that I never heard of. Like the fact they included the theme music for the title/preview of the show.

I bought this because I'm a fan of Misfits; and have thoroughly enjoyed it.
Since I'm a bit (!) older than the intended audience, I hadn't heard any of the music played on the show previously, but liked it enough (particularly the track played at the beginning of every episode) to buy this album. Recommended!

Format:Audio CD
I love 80% of the music on the album and it does what every OST should do which is to take you back through the emotions of the excellent TV series. It has it's dark moments which is fitting but also has lots of bumping dance tracks. Aside from a couple of tracks I loved it although it's not right for a party because one minute it's banging and the next minute its all echo and the bunnymen aka. pretty dire.
