5.0 out of 5 stars Miscarriage, 30 Sep 2002
By A Customer
I read this book about a month after the sad event of my first miscarriage. This book gave me so much information I needed but was unable to get from elsewhere. If you have the need of sharing the feelings but not knowing with whom, or how, this is the book I recommend. There are very personal, and detailed experiences written by the women, whom you would never meet, but can share the experiences, deep sorrows with. This is a very good book of facts, experiences of miscarriages.

5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely helpful, 23 Jan 2005
By A Customer
I found this book a lifeline in the weeks following my miscarriage. The experiences of other women were sad, but helped me to feel less alone and to begin to understand my own emotions. The book gives information on very practical things like going back to work, coping with friends who are pregnant and how miscarriage can impact your relationship with your partner. I would highly recommend it to any woman (or person close to a woman) who has had the devastating experience of miscarriage. I only wish they had given me the book at the hospital the day I was told our little one had died, as the information was so vital when trying to understand how such a thing could possibly happen and how to cope with my own response to my pregnancy loss.

5.0 out of 5 stars A lifeline, 15 Dec 2006
I've never written a review on Amazon before but this book is so astounding I was compelled to do so.

This book gives the topic of pregnancy loss the importance it deserves. It discusses everything the NHS don't think to tell you and you don't think to ask when going through this horrendous experience.

It has real insight into the situation without being utterly depressing. It helps you cope by making you realise you are not alone and that the feelings you are experiencing are perfectly normal. It doesn't diminish the significance of your pregnancy however short.

I would recommend this to any woman who has been unfortunate enough to go through this experience. And although the title might suggest otherwise I would also recommend to her partner, family, friends and colleagues as well.

This book is also a must for all health care professionals in the field especially the guidelines for good practice section.

Christine Moulder - thank you xx
