I feel like I am just repeating everyone elses reviews, but they're so right!

I found out I lost my baby 2 wks ago, when i was 10 wks pregnant. I still feel devastated and heart-broken. I didn't need the book to reassure me that it was OK to feel how I do - I don't feel the need to say 'I'm fine' when people ask how I am, when I'm not. It was MY baby, and I will take as long as I feel necessary to come to terms with my loss.

But the book did provid the comfort of hearing other ('real') people go through the same things; the feelings of guilt, despair, failiure. I still feel all of those things and more, and i'm still so sorry...

Although it makes me sad, I find comfort in the knowledge that I'll be with my baby, my sweet angel, one day. But right now i know that there's a star in heaven looking down on me.

Thank you to all those women who really did share "from the heart".

A step towards sanity 23 Mar 2001

Format:Paperback
Recommended by my miscarriage counsellor, after two miscarriages, this book gave me reassurance that I was not crazy and self-pitying; the feelings I have had have been felt by many other women. The book helped validate all the feelings of guilt, despair, and anger and gave me a sense that I really was not alone in feeling this way. The loss of a baby through miscarriage is a bereavement and needs to be acknowledged this way. Excellent book.

After losing my two babies through miscarriage I found this bok a lifesaver in validating my feelings of grief and despair. If you have suffered a miscarriage and you see the loss as the loss of a life, then I recommend this book. I thank the authors for stopping me think I was crazy for being so sad after I lost my babies. After suffering a miscarriage, most people find very few people who understand their grief, or even their right to grieve, this book understands and validates your feelings of grief. By reading extraxts from lots of different women you realise there are many other women who feel the same way as you do. A truly supportive and helpful book.

Really Bad
I thought this book was designed merely to exploit peoples misfortune. It was very poorly written and never should have been published.
