Product Description

There is continuing controversy about whether Jesus had brothers and sisters, though the author presents convincing evidence that He did. Whether you believe it or not, The Mirror Theory is a fascinating look at His family and the relationships they had with Jesus and each other, vis-a-vis their own personal growth. Each chapter features a different member of His family taking on a central theme such as blame, bitterness, and humility, and every chapter includes questions and exercises for using The Mirror Theory to improve your life. What emerges is a method for taking back personal power by accepting personal responsibility, and seeing your emotional self in those around you - ergo The Mirror Theory.

Phenomenal & Profound Spiritual Work 12 July 2005
By Barbara Rose - Published on
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I read and write a lot of books, and THIS book is a profound spiritual treasure. Just the loving energy I feel from reading the pages is an experience unto itself. There are a few quotes from this book that I would like to share with you.

p.20 (About becoming illuminated from within) "The light is turned on within and illumination is... How you express your divinity is up to you. Holiness isn't something you have to find. You are this energy now. To know it is to honor the beauty within. We all have the same opportunity since we all come here with emotion and we all have the freedom to use it. God doesn't give a heart to one and ignore another.

p. 113 "...Each soul is challenged according to its blocks. Wherever light is resisting love, big challenges are happening. But since you only come here to find more love, problems are solved as soon as you do."

p. 168 (About knowing oneself) "Isn't this the path that the pianist knows with his instruments, an athlete with her sport, or anyone with a gift that is nurtured through pleasurable discipline? Getting to know oneself is no different. Information about oneself comes from within. Therefore, this is where the focus needs to be."

In addition to this phenomenal text, there are wonderful and simple personal insight worksheets, where you can write down answers to questions that will definitely help you awaken to all that you are within.

I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to awaken to their grandest self that lies within. Thank you, Betsy, for your extraordinary contribution to humanity!

Barbara Rose, author of Stop Being the String Along: A Relationship Guide to Being THE ONE, and If God Was Like Man.

Life-Changing! 18 July 2005
By Mimi Kravitz - Published on
Format: Paperback
The barely concealed hostility of the sales clerk I just encountered this morning. The twang of judgment I feel from my mother almost every time I see her. Or, the sweet, heart melting vulnerability that my daughter showed as she allowed me to care for her skinned knee.

Why, I always wonder, do I attract the experiences that I do from the people around me? Surely they have a myraid of other sides to their personalities... what determines what side of them I will experience when I come into contact with them?

The people and circumstances around us are mirrors of the way we feel about ourselves, says Betsy Otter Thompson in this unique book. If we don't like what we see in the mirror "out there" the only place to change it is "in here." Words to live by! And thanks to this book, I now have a practical way of changing the reflections I am generating and living a life of greater joy, fulfillment and fun.

One of the MOST important books you'll ever read! 5 July 2005
By Peggy McColl - Published on
Format: Paperback
I've been an avid student of personal development for over 25 years (I've also written 4 books on the same subject) and this book IS one of the most important and most impactful books I have ever read. Most important, to me, are the things that I learned about myself and how my life is a mirror reflection of what is going on inside of me. I love how Betsy has created this masterpiece and has written it in a way that makes it gripping (you won't want to put this book done from the moment you flip over the front cover). I am getting copies of this book for everyone that I care about. It is an incredible gift. Betsy has brought an incredible gift to my life, and for her, and for The Mirror Theory, I'm very grateful! If you want to see how your results are a mirror reflection of what is going on inside of you, grab a copy of The Mirror Theory right now before you do anything else.

instand understanding 11 July 2005
By Jill McMillan - Published on
Format: Paperback
Of course, I learned about "doing unto others as I would have them do unto me" in Sunday School. I understand the concept that what I put out into the universe comes back to me. But I have never had such a startling awakening to this reality until now. This book is called the Mirror THEORY, but it is much more than a theory. It's really a guide that helped me see why I attract the things I do, and how to immmediately shift the outcomes I experience if they are not to my liking. I put it to use with someone I was having a hard time with and WOW! I have never encountered a process that had such an immediate impact on me and my world. Where has Betsy Thompson been hiding??

Wise and original 21 July 2005
By Tom from Colorado - Published on
Format: Paperback
All I can say is WOW. I just finished reading The Mirror Theory, and am deeply impressed by its wisdom, its immediacy, and its originality. Well done!

You have succeeded in doing what all of us writers strive to do: to take a fundamental truth, something that goes to the heart of being fully alive and fully human, and to give that truth a whole new face. In the process, you also give it a whole new meaning that people can share. And I hope that, in this case, your book will reach many, many people.

This book has so much depth-and so much to say about being personally responsible, creating one's own life, and knowing the love of God. Thank you for writing it, and for sharing it.
