Def Leppard release their first ever live album "MIRRORBALL". The album also includes a 50 minute DVD that contains live performances and intimate backstage footage of the band captured on the road.

"MIRRORBALL" was recorded across the world over the course of many of the band's sold-out dates and features all of the classic songs that have made Def Leppard one of the most respected and beloved power rock bands in the world. The album captures the group's legendary concert experience at its thunderous best, bringing together live versions of classic Leppard hits such as "POUR SOME SUGAR ON ME," "ROCK OF AGES," "FOOLIN'," "HYSTERIA," "PHOTOGRAPH" and an incredible rendition of "BRINGING ON THE HEARTBREAK." With their creative juices at full flow, the band has also added three new studio tracks: "UNDEFEATED," "IT'S ALL ABOUT BELIEVIN'" and "KINGS OF THE WORLD," that are undeniably Def Leppard and take their place with ease within this classic setlist.
"MIRRORBALL" follows the band's 2008 studio release, "SONGS FROM THE SPARKLE LOUNGE", which debuted at #5 on the Billboard Top 200, marking the group's highest chart position since 1992's "ADRENALIZE".

Whole day today, yes whole day, and I have been blasting this album in my room like once in my teens. I've not been fortunate yet to see Def Leppard live. But I felt like I am there in front of the stage myself. It's pleasure to see the rehearsals and concerts on the 3rd disc. But I'm enjoying audio CDs more. Since there are no track listings on Amazon product details, here it is -

Mirrorball is Def Leppard's first live album (well it isn't really, the Deluxe edition of Pyromania includes a complete concert from 1983 which is the equal of this CD), and perhaps not bad timing after their recent Download appearance. Although god knows why they didn't do this 20 years ago. Still, it is a great CD packed with the hits. Sure, some of the purists will argue about what songs could have been on the set list but you can please everyone. Although with two CD's worth of music, I was a little surprised to see that neither Let It Go or Mirror Mirror made the cut.
The songs are good. Joe Elliott's vocals don't sound as strong as they once did (but then we all get older don't we), but the guitar work makes up. Phil tends to fill the right channel and Viv the left and it makes it particularly interesting to hear the different parts (and styles) of the guitarists. Particular stand outs are Switch 625 (the best version I have heard), and the takes on Animal, and Love Bites. Cmon Cmon and Hysteria also sound great. It also nice to see their last album represented too with (the previously mentioned) Cmon Cmon, Nine Lives and Bad Actress. Really though, the band could give the acoustic section a rest.
What about the "More"? Well, that is mainly the three new songs. Undefeated is a classic Lep track which starts with tribal beats and builds on a typical Leppard riff. Kings of the World is like Leppard Does Queen. Still, it does grow on you. A little. It's All About Believing is a poppish track. I think one of the band members compared it to Animal meets Hysteria, and that isn't a bad way to describe it. Perhaps it wouldn't have been out of place on X or Euphoria. Overall though, not a bad selection of songs.
The DVD is a nice extra, but certainly not a sequel to "In the Round, In Your Face".
For the price though, this is well worth for the money for the serious fan, or just the type that picks up the greatest hits collections.

i bought this because i never got the chance to see them live. its very good value for money. great sounding for a live album. for people who cant afford the tickets to a gig this is the next best thing to being there. every song takes me back to when i bought each album. hope you enjoy as much as i did.

Brilliant!

Superb Def Leppard

Rock rock till you drop...
I've been lucky enough to see Leppard live three time in the last four years and this captures them brilliantly. The CD absorbs you the same way the band do live. Read more

Well put together but missing a stronger set list
