HD Ready

HD ready is the abbreviation for "High Definition Ready" and indicates that the TV is officially ready to receieve and show HD broadcastings*. Introdiced by EICTA as a quality sign for the differention of display equipment, HD Ready status is awarded to products under the ECITA conditions for HD labelling of diaply devices. * you will need a high definition source such as Sky Plus HD or a blu-ray player.

HDMI Connection

HDMI Connection

HDMI is amongst the many connectivity options, opening the door to the world of HD and affording flexibility and compatibility with a vast array of media players and broadcast services. The Mirai LCD TV accepts HDMI cables via it's HDMI connector at the back of the TV. HDMI is an uncompressed digital audio/video interface. It provides a link between any source and receiver. Sources, for example, could be up-scaling DVD players, Blu-ray disc players or recievers such as Sky Plus HD or Freesat. If you want to enjoy high definition TV you need to connect your source (must have an HDMI out) via an HDMI cable.

Freeview Digital Tuner

DVB-T guarantees excellent picture quality and is the ideal choice for rooms where there is poor cable TV reception or no cable at all. It also enables you to take advantage of the wide range of programs available through Freeview.
ChroMax Colour Engine

ChroMax Colour Engine

The DTL-832E600 also has the ChroMax colour engine and dynamic contrast ratio of 6000 : 1 will deliver blemish free images and strong yet natural colour palettes.

Response Time

Response Time

This Mirai LCD TV has a very fast response time of 6.5 milliseconds, which is the amount of time a pixel takes to switch from black to white. The lower the number, the faster the transition which reduces image blur or ghosting.

Don't actually write many reviews but after purchasing this lcd tv felt I should. Had searched about before ordering to see if anybody had any thoughts on this tv.... people were positive, looks very nice brushed stainless steel edging and matt black finish, Picture quality is really good for a lcd tv, and there are good control of brightness contrast and sharpness, we'll have to see how reliable it is but it comes with a 3 year warranty...I would rate it as very good, i've looked at a Samsung which picture wasn't as good

Up and running in 5 minutes, very easy to operate, great picture, only £300 or so, what more can you ask for? How about, delivered next business day? Yes, that as well :-)
If there is any downside to this TV I can think of, and I'm scraping the barrel, its that if you want both Freeview AND analogue TV, you will need two separate aerial inputs, as there are seperate RF inputs for each,and most people will have just the one aerial.
The picture is great (though only tried it on Freeview, I haven't got an HD source to try), it *might* be that if you compared it side by side to something that's two or 3x the price it wont be *quite* as good, but I wont be doing that :-)
The remote is also easy to operate, you don't need to be Scotty off Star Trek to work it. This was bought for an elderly relative, so ease of use is a big plus, . Switch it off and on, select channel, subtitles on and off , programme guide, all easy peasy. You can of course also change multiple other settings if you want, but the main ones are easy to hand and well laid out.

was hunting around for a while and had a hard time finding a reasonable price then i came across this, had everything i wanted, HD ready, HDMI, VGA and is 1080i HD absolutely brilliant, i use it as a pc screen, my xbox 360, wii, ps3 ect..... no need to keep swaping wires as it has enough inputs for everything, great TV Great Price.
