Product Description

Product Description

Mirador Publishing invited submissions of short stories celebrating the Weird and the Wonderful. We were overwhelmed by the number and the quality of entries. Choosing the winners proved to be a monumental task. Our criteria centred on the gifts of story telling and imagination. We believe these should be the overriding considerations, for the exploration of the human condition through the story telling process. We take great pleasure in presenting this selection by some of the world's most promising new writers and we look forward to working with these immensely talented story tellers on future projects. Have fun and lose yourself in the wonderful Mirador Fantasmagoria.

What a find. I loved this, a great collection of weird and fantastic stories. Apparently these are all unpublished writers somebody ought to pick some of these guys up. There really is a lot of talent here. One of the stories, forget which one now, made me weep and another I was laughing out loud. I think my husband thought I'd gone mad!

A wonderfully eclectic combination of short stories that want to make you read more by the authors featured. So many good tales and something for everyone. Delighted to see Wilkie Martin in there. I recently discovered Wilkie on YouTube, where his style and delivery was a delight to watch, `No Bed of Roses' is another good example of his work and talent!

A fantastically imaginative book full of the most gripping short stories I've ever read! There was not one tale that didn't capture me and it's hard to believe they are all written by unpublished authors. Each one is written with such style and flair, from the mystical and uplifting to the downright creepy. One of my many favourites was 'Edward' by Claire Rowland which was truly inspirational and haunted me long after I'd finished reading. 'Fatal' by Emma Kirkby was another that left me absolutely chilled to the bone. But really there is something here for everyone. I'm not usually a fan of short stories but I literally couldn't put this down and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys getting lost in another world...
