Now girls, I like to listen to this on the lead up to Christmas, batten down the hatches, shut out the world, get the old flameproof nighty and slippers on: a mug of cocoa and choccy biscuits, candles and either mellow out or if you have, as I do, many parcels to sort, this makes a lovely uplifting accompaniment to 'getting the job done'. A lovely sentimental and fun CD, a timeless classic.

This is a great album for those of us who collect Christmas music. No surprises, just excellent singers singing the usual songs. Standouts for me are Natalie Cole's 'Jingle Bells', Dionne Warwick's 'It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas' and Ray Charles' 'Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town'. These are artists I don't even have in my non-Christmas collection! I even enjoyed Kenny G! My only criticism is that the album is only 29 minutes long.
A great album, whether you've seen the film or not.

A holiday classic 11 Feb 2004
By Nicholas A. Ziinojr - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
This is one of the all-time great holiday soundtracks. It ranks
right up there with "Home Alone"!The songs are great(Kenny G's
"Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" is a gem!),but it's
the instrumentals that really stand out-that main theme is
beautiful! As companion volumes,I recommend the complete
orchestral score CDs for both the 1994 and 1947 versions,
which are available online at www.intrada.com.

Looking for a good Christmas mix? 23 July 2003

Then this is your cd. The whole cd will have you singing along and tapping your toes. The songs range from fun and unbeat (Natalie Cole's "Jingle Bells"), to easy jazz (Ray Charles "Santa Claus is Coming to Town"), to beautiful and soothing (Sarah McLachlan's "Song for a Winter's Night"). It has been one of my favorite Christmas cds for years.

A really Good Christmas Album 9 Dec 2001
By Carol M DeClerc - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Great album with songs by great performers. The music was as good as the movie. I really enjoyed Sarah McLachlan's Song For A Winter's Night, and Natalie Cole's Jingle Bells.
