New, revolutionary Miracle-Gro Patch Magic offers a convenient, easy to use, one step solution to bare or thin patches in your grass. Made up of a superior quality (free from agricultural grasses) mix of grass seed, coir growing substrate and Miracle-Gro fertiliser, grass is guaranteed to grow anywhere, even on concrete, and grows 50% thicker with 50% less watering. The unique, super-absorbent growing material acts like topsoil and changes colour to indicate when more watering is required.

I bought this product to repair the grass where my sons play football. I have to say that I was a bit sceptical but needed to do something. After 1 week there was new grass and after 2 weeks it looked quite reasonable. 3 weeks down the line it looks superb and is in need of a cut but I have been advised not to cut it yet.
There are 4 tips that I would recommend to ensure success:
1. Water regularly - we watered it religiously twice a day.
2. Keep the kids off it.
3. We placed small pieces of foil hung on string and secured with tent pegs to stop the birds eating the seed. An alternative is to cover with top soil, but the foil is cheaper.
4. Don't be tempted to cut it too soon. It takes a while for the roots to become established and if you cut it too soon, you will pull it out by the roots and you are back where you started.
Another point worth knowing is that you need more of this product than you think. The thicker you apply it, the thicker the grass that grows. This sack represents good value.

This really works. I have three dogs , all bitches, and my garden constantly has dead patches of grass everywhere. I have tried all sorts of remedies over the years includeing new lawns,fencing around the lawn , but the dogs always managed to get through. I used this on all the patches and within days, of lots of sun and watering the grass is growing . FANTASTIC.
I am buying more to have in stock to repair the odd patch and would recommend this to everyone. I purchased the largest size possible , its reseable so good value for money especially when it does what it says.Brilliant stuff highly recommended.

Bought this to patch my lawn - found it took 10 days to germinate and a further 21 days to develop full thickness. I found that it needed watering morning and late evening to get the effect though as coir quickly dried out. Works well overall.

Hasn't done what it said it would
Must be for elbow patches in size! I needed to cover around fourteen patches 8-10 inches in diameter. The bag barely covered these. It says bag to cover 48 patches. Read more
