I have just bought this book and find it a fasinating guide to the sources of vitamins, antioxidant and anti-biotic charactersitics of our everyday foods essential to a healthy diet. Explanations of preparations, and storage of foods quashing long used methods to prepare vegetables such as the use of salt (or rather not using it) in the boiling/steaming process is a helpful guide to maximising the benefits of the essential nutrients that each of these 25 miracle foods/food groups can provide. A must have book for anyone wanting to gain a better understanding of so-called super foods. Another book by the same publisher/author is Brain Food, which I am about to read but on the surface appears to be an excellent guide in understanding how certain foods can make you more lethargic whilst others act as natural pick-me ups.
