Our second Triton electric shower broke. The most recent one - the Triton Entice Electric Shower White/Chrome 10.5kW worked reasonably and looks nice, BUT stopped working after only 3 years.
Although we evaluated Triton, our recent breakdown experience did not give us confidence in the Triton brand, hence after reading several reviews that seem to point to Mira producing better quality showers, we decided to replace it with Mira Jump (which, as its name implies, is a model that is designed to retrofit and 'jump' from Triton showers).
After a month using it, I can report that we are very happy with Mira.
1. We notice that there is much less limescale stuck in the showerhead (Mira claims its Clearscale Technology reduce limescale by 50%, which I can say, is visibly discernable). This is a big feature for us. As we live in a heavy limescale area, we still clean out the showerhead weekly despite it becoming less necessary.
2. From a flow strength standpoint, it is slightly less powerful (compared to the previous Triton model) on its highest setting but it is a worthwhile trade off (that one gets used to after a while).
3. Design wise, it looks fairly streamlined, but is plainer and "less glossy" compared to Entice.
Overall, I have no qualms in recommending this medium budget model. Prices do vary across different websites and physical outlets, so please do your research. I may come back to re-review in a few years time. Hopefully the points highlighted would still remain.
p.s. we still retain this highly maintainable Triton showerhead, which I reviewed previouslyTriton Showers SFXSH600E5KKC 5 Position Showerhead
