We live in an old house in a Village with very low water pressure. We had a mira sport previously and it constantly ran cold (or even cut out altogether) if the pressure dropped. This could happen by running a tap to fill the kettle, washing up, any time the water was used elsewhere the shower went wrong. So we had this shower recommended by our plumber as it runs off the cold water tank in the attic. We selected the more powerful model (10.8Kw) but I think both work well.
The shower is superb. There is absolutely no interruption to the flow as it runs off the cold water tank, so no more calling upstairs that you are running a tap! Instant hot water (and it gets hot, not just warm), powerful due to the built in pump which makes it better than normal electric showers we've seen, good control from cold (if you wanted it for any reason) up to very hot. There's a really good flow rate and all in all it's a great shower.
Yes, it's a little noisy, but you soon get used to it. We chose the white and I would recommend anyone going for the chrome to have a look at one; we saw one and it's not what I would call chrome, more a silver grey coating. It's also worth seeing what the riser rail looks like; we had initially tried another mira sport and they have changed the riser rail from a really good quality one to something very cheap looking. The one on the Elite ST is nice, but it's worth checking, as if they change it you'll be buying a separate riser rail.
If anyone is having trouble with low flow then I highly recommend the pumped range of showers; we are really happy with the Elite ST, and I can't really fault it, hence the 5 stars.
