After checking web site for a good system without to many bad bits I settled for this machine and am pleased I did. St up took let than 10 mins once battery fully charged and then I was off. To test it I went to town and pressed the home button. As I had it on Fast Route it wanted to take me away from the normal route I go via the back streets but soon caught up with me. Even with a road closure it still caught up with me taking a differant route. Only down side found so far is the distance to the next turn seems a little out at times. Well worth the money and very pleased with it.

3.0 out of 5 stars easy to use, 3 Aug 2005
This review is from: Mio Technology 268 GPS Mobile Navigation System (UK/IE) (Electronics)
It is easy to set up and use,it finds the satilittes very quickly,it is only a pity that there is no case included as it is portable.

the batterylife could be better, and you cannot do a postcode search.

you need to enter the imformation by a sylus ,which can be
time comsuming but overall a good machine .

in walk mode you cannot listen to the mp3 as you wallk you need to come out of the gps to use it,

also the settings for the car are unclear as what is a standard, fast or slow car.

3.0 out of 5 stars overly complicated, 1 Aug 2007
By
This review is from: Mio Technology 268 GPS Mobile Navigation System (UK/IE) (Electronics)
A patch had to be installed to update my SatNav. This and the re-configuation of the unit was complicated and time consuming. This was followed by the installation of a europe map which had to be copied on to an SD card which was then plugged in. To test the system, we selected Belgium and tried to input a Brussels address with no success at first, but using the postal code without the leading character worked fine. A user-friendly version would be good.
