If you are looking for a mid range satnav to get you from A-Z then you cant go wrong with this, it does everything that most newer high-end satnavs do, expected time arrival, options for fastest route or shortest distance (a nice feature is this is done on 2 slide bar scales so you dont need just to pick one or the other), tells you what lane to get into, tells you about saftey (speed) cameras etc You can also update your maps free online (disc and usb wire included).
For the price it gets 5 out of 5, however at this price you expect to give up some functions or quality, 2 of the only ones I can see worth listing are, it only has one voice that can sound a little robotic and not as clear as my previous Satnav (no fun downloading Billy Connolly etc) and the only way to control volume is by the touch screen. The speaker isnt the best quality so you may find your self playing with the volume more often, inparticular moving from town to motorway driving, of course this could be dangerous.

I don't have much experience of sat navs, having only used one other a borrowed garmin (don't know the model), but this unit is much better than the one I have used. I live in an area where signals of any description are hard to come by but this sat nav has always kept a good signal and when it does loose connection it re-acquires it quickly and so far always before the turning. Unlike my previous experience this unit doesn't insist on telling me that sharp turns in the road are in fact turns to be taken, which has led to many wrong turns in the past. The only downside I've found so far is that to set a destination it requires both a postcode and a house number which is a problem when trying to navigate to hotels where usually you only have a postcode, which leads to getting to roughly the right area and then driving round or asking. I don't know if this is something that is common to all sat navs but it's certainly not something that detracts from the overall performance, especially for the price.

Mio Navman Moov M300 Sat-Nav System - UK
This is a really great sat nav for the money.
It does everything I want from a sat nav as it:-
Picks up the satellite signal in seconds
It gives precise directions so you don't miss a turning
You can set it to find addresses by post code or by town and street
You can select the way the map / direction is displayed ( ie 2d or 3d )
It is easy to fit to the windscreen
It has an on and off switch
It does what it says on the can !!
