a Researcher says:
The plantar fascia is a broad band of fibrous tissue that runs along the bottom of your foot. It starts out from your heel area and then begins to "fan out" as it heads towards each of your individual toes. A little-known fact, however, is that the plantar fascia can be divided up into THREE major areas: an inner, outer, and middle part. However it is only the middle part that you need to mainly be concerned about. This is for several reasons:

* the inner and outer parts of the plantar fascia are not nearly as important to the functioning of your foot as the middle part.

* the inner part is a really thin structure that mainly serves to cover other foot structures.

* the outer part serves to cover other foot structures as well, and its development can vary quite a lot. In fact, it is virtually absent in about 7% of people (Hedrick 1996).

Okay, now that we know that the middle part is by far the most important part of the plantar fascia, this is the spot we need to target to get rid of plantar fasciitis pain once and for all. You can find out more about treating and eliminating plantar fasciitis in The 5-Minute Plantar Fasciitis Solution.
