5.0 out of 5 stars A multifaceted view of process improvement 5 Aug 2012
By L. David Marquet - Published on Amazon.com

As I've gotten older (and wiser) I've learned that most topics have multiple valid perspectives. A diversity of opinion allows me to see sides of an issue I'd missed, allow my organization to be more resilient when one approach isn't working, and allow a more nuanced implementation of initiatives.

This is EXACTLY what you get with this book. Each expert provides their opinion of how process improvement works best. The 5 minute time constraint (the interviews were held to 5 minutes but the interviewers knew that ahead of time) means that each discussion is boiled down to the one or two KEY aspects of process improvement. The entirety is a multifaceted view of a complex issue.

I suppose you could hunt and peck on all the process improvement blogs and Linked In groups but the quality of thinking is hit and miss. With "5 minutes" you'll get it all in a well organized package.

If you work with projects....and who doesn't? You'll benefit from this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Commitment to effective and lean Processes does provide an ROI 29 Feb 2012
By Mario - Published on Amazon.com
While I am a contributor to content and a subject of one of the interviews conducted by the author, I would like everyone to know I equally benefited from the other contributors experiences in their field and area of expertise. I think a few short minutes of reading will quickly captivate the reader with immediate relevance. While not all the sections may apply to someone' current situation, I feel every one of the interviews provides valueable insight with many takeaways for the future. I wouldn't doubt folks who read this literary piece will frequently be returning to review what they had read here in the past. Outstanding work Bill, keep working towards helping us improve our processes and approach to our daily tasks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get Access to Leading Experts in Process Improvement 17 Feb 2012
By Tony Gallardo - Published on Amazon.com
5 Minutes to Process Improvement Success, by Bill Fox, is a compendium of the best thinking from industry experts in the area of process improvement. Each of the twenty three interviews draws on the experiences and knowledge gained by people who have spent years working to improve organizational development and efficiency. What struck me about reading these interviews is how each contributor had different, but valuable insights that can be applied in almost any organization. Taken together, they provide a wealth of knowledge. Even more important, in my view, is that their contact information is available so that they can be contacted directly by anyone who would like to learn more about what they have to offer.
