Format:Paperback
The story of the narrator is suitably grim and repetitive as you might expect and unfortunately had little effect on me emotionally as some of the descriptions seemed quite cliched.

The main character also seems to be the typical disaffected youth you'd find in any novel.

But then just I'd started to consider giving up he suddenly grew some sort of conscience and the bits of humour such as the Anarchists demanding a free ulster (its a bit random) managed to oversome the sense of depression.

The ending - without giving too much away - left me feeling hopeful for the narrator which is always better than seeing them ruined.

I give it 3 star for the poor beginning
