From the Author
Mint Julep Murder is a mystery for bookloversMy favorite part in writing this book was creating the bios of the
festival authors. It was challenging to try and capture their individual
voices. The book, minus the murderer, provides a tongue-in-cheek view of the
book business. The wannabe authors, Annie's mother in law, her best customer, and a
local curmudgeon are typical of new authors who have yet to find a publisher.
Having once been a wannabe writer, I am very sympathetic to new authors and I admire their
perseverance. It is absolutely necessary for new authors to try any and every venue to publication.
The books also gives fun flavor to book gatherings the discussions of books, the pleasure found in
reading and the hard labor that goes into book selling.
