5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent entry level SLR, 27 Sep 2003
By J H Jones (Frodsham, Cheshire United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
A superb easy to use SLR. No un-necessary gadgets or gimickry - just easy to use settings that enhance the versatility you would expect from a SLR.

Pre-settings are easy to understand, and over-ride AF & AE are easy to operate.

Light on weight, and light on the pocket, I have found this camera to give excellent results all round

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fantastic SLR Autofocus Camera for Beginners, 9 Nov 2005
By L. Axworthy "muagua" (Dartmoor, S/W England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I bought this camera about a year and a half ago and i'm sure there are some much better autofocus film SLR's available now.
After saying that, this is a great camera for people who are new to using AF cameras. Its very light-weight (at the time it was the lightest film AF,SLR on the market), its very compact and easy to use (you can literally start taking photos straight away). It also has loads of features that are useful for beginners including manual controls, built in flash, a timer and loads more.
In short, a fantastic camera for beginners.
