As trance continues its ascendancy of of the world's club scene, so to rises the chequebook DJ--an unscrupulous type that cobbles together a ropy compilation in order to con those sun-addled punters eager to re-capture that Balearic daze. Thankfully, Trance Nation 2 was pieced together for Ministry Of Sound on the decks of Ferry Corsten, the man behind System F, and at the time of release, one of trance's hottest names. Eager to come on like the definitive article, Trance Nation 2 is plain in its intention and clearly aims to be the be-all, end-all if-you-only-buy-one-trance-compilation, but that's not to cast aspersions on its ruthless appeal. Remember that this stuff only tore the charts to pieces in the first place because it filled so many dancefloors, and there's no room to be sniffy when the likes of Alice Deejay's "Better Off Alone", ATB's "Don't Stop" and System F's "Out Of The Blue" are plainly such cast-iron anthems. --Louis Pattison

Well I bought this album and thought it was superb!! It got stolen out my car in 2002 and never bothered to buy it again until recently. I have to say, its as good now as it was back in 1999. Infact, I think it still beats recent trance which is commercialised garbage at the moment. Trance Nation 2 was a fab continuation of the first Trance Nation.

This has got to be the best CD I own. Some great tracks on here Bedrock (Heaven Scent), The Thrillseekers (Synaesthesia) and Quake (Mantra) are just three classic's. I bought this when it first came out and am still listening to it now. This CD is the best out of the 4 Trance Nations, and proves that trance will never die.

Below what i expected
This has to be one of the worst Dance compilations i have ever bought. It does not live up to the expectations the first one gave us. Definatly a major dissapointment.

Trance Nation 2 - is this the best trance album ever..!?
Mmmm..contraversial. It features some massive tunes from the likes of Quake, GD, ATB, Brain Transeau and such a like. But this isn't as good as Clubber's Guide To ... Trance. Read more

Brilliant
This has to be one of the best Dance/Trance compilations ever, well, this year anyway. It's got all the big hits and well worth paying for....
