What a cracking little dictionary this is. Not much larger than a box of matches it contains about 8000 words. It uses the most widely used form of revived Cornish, Kernewek Kemmyn, developed by the author, Ken George in the 1980s. What makes this dictionary stand out from all the others on the market is the pronunciation guide that each word has, in brackets, using the International Phonetic Alphabet. With so many of us Cornish learners struggling with pronunciation, it really is a godsend. For anyone with no knowledge of Cornish this is a great introduction and cheap at that. This is an amazing little dictionary containing 8000 words English-Cornish and Cornish-English together with a useful introduction on grammar and pronunciation. Compiled by a reknowned expert on the subject, it is well bound, uses good quality paper and clear type. Above all it is just about the size of a match-box so will fit, almost unnoticed, into your pocket or handbag for quick reference anywhere, anytime, when needed. Recommended for anyone on holiday in Cornwall seeking a quick translation of Cornish words found everywhere in Cornwall today. Much more comprehensive and more useful than some of the A5 size publications found in the local shops.
