I have found my peak flow meter a really useful product for measuring how well my asthma is controlled. It is easy to use, even for a child and you just blow hard into the mouthpiece, with the arrow lining up with the numbers to show you the peak flow measurement. This is the same model that our nurse uses in the asthma clinic, and I also have one at home for personal use. Excellent and accurate product.

Just received this item, quick delivery and well packaged.
This is the industry standard for such peak flow readings. Simply take a deep breath and blow out as hard as possible then take the reading. Simple to use and provides accurate measurements. Cheap and cheerful price and i can see this product lasting a long time.
The only downfall is that the instructions with the product do not provide reference for you to see if on average your reading is low or high. If you want the instrument just to measure yourself and see how you progress over a period of time then its fine but if you want it to see if you are below or above average for your age then i would check out this website: http://www.peakflow.com/top_nav/home/index-2.html
This website gives plenty of info regarding the product and also gives tables and calculations for you to work out if you are abnormal or not =)
