I use a tens regularly, but needed something for those places you cant put the pads such as fingers, face etc. It does seem to be working, but nothing like a real tens machine, however I think the edge had gone from the pain. These things are so variable though its best to try it your self and at this price its worth a go.
If, however you have chronic pain in a larger area, go for a "proper" machine, especially if you have stiff or weak hands - this one needs quite a lot of stiff clicks to work, so your thumb soon feels it

Be aware this could cause more harm than good. One could achieve same results (no cure, but alternative pain) by using electronic ciggie lighter, or static pistol from old LP records. Read instructions carefully as applying instrument - sorry: 'device' as instructed, to the painful body particle, and pressing the button "20 to 30" times - causes much more discomfort - even pain! Considerably over-priced - £5 would be top possible price. Definitely not, repeat NOT recommended for anyone, however fit. I wrote a complete product critique to the makers and distributors, without even the courtesy of an acknowledgement. Incidentally, I conduct product reviews for Parkinson's UK as I am a retired product development engineer. Make your own informed decisions!
