I'm going into breeding guinea pigs as a hobbyist breeder, and wanted some more detailed information on breeds, colours and varieties. This book is 5* for great pictures but unfortunately focuses pretty much entirely on colours and leaves out in-depth information on actual breeds such as Shelties or Abyssinians. It also briefly touches on the dynamics of breeding and some basic info on care, feeding etc. A book I'm glad I got and definitely worthwhile but I'll still have to do more research elsewhere.

This is a good book with lots of useful info and nice photos, my young daughters love looking at the numerous photos of the many types of guinea pigs, there is a lot of detailed information about how to look after guinea pigs, the author is very knowledgeable, I would recommend this book.
