The T&G Mini Icebreaker mill set comprises of a peppermill and a salt mill made from crystal clear acrylic. The peppermill is fitted with a ceramic mechanism that is harder than steel and won't oxidise the pepper when grinding. The salt mill is fitted with a plastic mechanism. Both mechanisms carry a lifetime guarantee.
The mills are simply adjusted from fine to coarse grinding by tightening or loosening the knob at the top of the mill.
The set comes in an attractive acetate gift box with a colour insert making this an ideal present for anyone that enjoys cooking.

the t&g mini ice breaker salt & pepper mill may be small in size but they work alot better than some of the larger types .they grind the salt and pepper effortlessly and the price was very good too,well worth buying.

This is just the best little salt and pepper mill set I have ever come across. Not only do the mills look very attractive, they actually work most effectively to put salt and pepper on your food with a minimum effort and a pleasing grinding sound. Amazon's pricing for this little culinary delight is also extremely attractive. A nice additional touch was that both mills arrived stocked with the precious condiments so they were ready for instant use.

For years I've been frustrated with mills which never seem to dispense enough when tightened down for fine grinding, or the mechanism lasting all of a few months before little more than specks come out, or the mechanism being completely destroyed by a simple hand wash (despite so say being dishwasher safe and a thorough and proper drying). I have found Cole & Mason to be one of the worst offenders - I've gone through probably half a dozen different C&M grinding mills in the last ten years or so and none of them have been satisfactory for one, some or all of the above reasons. It got to the point where I considered discarding the idea of a mill completely and just revert to the old pestle and mortar. Given how cheap these were and the almost unanimous high praise, I thought I'd have one last go with a grinder. And I'm glad I did...
These T&G grinders are a different kettle of condiment distribution units altogether. Aside from being a very keenly priced duo (and pre-filled with half decent salt and pepper to boot), a couple of minimal turns kick out plenty of seasoning, even for addition during cooking, and they look pretty nice on the shelf too. The mechanism feels tough and sturdy when it's working and, even though I've only been using mine for a couple of days, I'm pretty confident that they will last a lot longer than previous mills I've used.
Unless your particular requirement is for large sized, electric or a super posh design, these are the only salt and pepper mills you will ever need.

Perfect if you like buying mills a lot
These worked great for 4 months. Both are now broken. They were cheap so I didn't expect much, but I wouldn't recommend them.

Great salt and pepper set
A good set of salt and pepper mills. Grinds a nice fine finish. They look durable and will hopefully last a long time. They are quite small, however

Overpriced
The review of this product I read stated they appear expensive. They are no better than the cheap £5 mills you can piuck up at the supermarket. Not impressed.
