Young adults, cabin in the woods, no cell phone reception, disabled vehicle, drugs, and headline about a missing girl....spin the spinner and we get vampires? zombies? slasher? Big Foot? ghosts? nope. What we get is an abandoned mine plus an old "Twilight Zone" episode. Now don't get me wrong, I love cabin in the woods tales. I also love the twist of the old Zone episode, because I get to yell "First!" when I figure out the twist before anyone else knows there is a twist. I don't want to say which episode, or compare it to other films as that would spoil it for the teen-twenty something target audience who should enjoy this film more than myself. But as far as a horror film goes, I was mostly bored with the been-there, done-that clever plot which didn't add much in ways of dialog, characters, or eye candy.

Works as an inexpensive rental.

Parental Guide: Infrequent F-bombs. Brief sex scene. No nudity.

A bunch of friends on vacation in the country discover a disused mine and find something most strange down in its depths.

It starts off in conventional fashion, pretty looking youngsters head off to a large cabin in the woods and after nearly running someone down in the road, they arrive at their destination but nothing is as it seems. The story then spins into another dimension, cribbing from better movies like Triangle and Identity, only the screenplay isn’t strong enough to make a success of it, even confusing itself in the process.

Things aren’t helped by director and co-writer Richard Gray padding out the movie to meet the required run time to call it a feature length production. In truth there just isn’t enough material here to extend beyond a one hour Twilight Zone episode, better editing and a better screenplay was definitely needed here. Gray over stretching his ambitions somewhat.

The cast of up coming Hollywood starlets give a mixed bunch of performances, while the low budget is often evident. Neither of these things, though, hurt the film as much as the aforementioned issues. There’s a modicum of interest value here for those who like the films already mentioned above, but it’s not a comfortable recommendation at all. 4/10

Didn't think I was gonna think a lot of this for some reason.. But however I thought it was rather good. A group of friends end up in a crash and head to a nearby house for help. There's no ghosts ( sort of ) it's basically about themselves ( you'll see what I mean ) good acting but can be a little confusing in places so try to keep up. Once you do you won't be let Down.

Pleasantly surprised with this. Very smart and cool twist. Briana Evigan from Step Up 2 and Alex Meraz from Twilight. No extras though on dvd, but it's cheap.

As a huge fan of time paradox and horror, this was a no-brainer for me. This film offers a decent attempt at the time paradox, but it could hardly be described as a 'horror' film. True, there's a little bit of slash and cut, but, it is not a scary film whatsoever. The premise of the film is nothing new, however, there is a decent twist. It's well directed, and the cast do a good enough job, although the dialogue's a bit hammy. I really hated the ending, though, and overall this film was something of a missed opportunity. With a better script and ending, it could have been a very good one.

If you want to see time travelling riddles at their very best, I recommend the vastly superior 'Triangle' and one of my all time favourite films, 'Time Crimes'.

Plot is clever and surprising. The cinematography and audio is well done. A bunch of kids take the classic summer trip to a cabin deep in the woods and do what all kids do, drink and explore. I enjoyed it, and for the price it's worth it.
