Reader Rabbit and his friends are getting ready for a campfire party, and the activities and games provide opportunities to extend skills in early reading, letters and numbers, similarities and differences, simple arithmetic, ordering and sequencing, measurement, critical thinking, directional words, time concepts, seasons and months, social skills, problem solving. All activities support the National Curriculum Key at Stage One. This disc is a perfect "follow-on" for children who have already mastered the personalised Reader Rabbit Nursery package.

Disc two is a unique program that allows parents and teachers to view the progress of each player. Personalised workbooks and activities, based on the individual progress of each player, and reward certificates can be printed. Also included is an excellent, 33-page comprehensive booklet explaining all aspects of the package in great detail. Particularly helpful is a section entitled "troubleshooting" with guidance on simple problems.

All in all, this is a first-class package that uses fascinating characters, excellent graphics and sounds, and uses skill levels and games that can be fitted and adapted to meet children's individual needs.
