A handy CD-ROM for film buffs which offers brief plot synopses on just about every film ever made up to 1995. Most films also come with a summary review which actually analyses the film and a number also have an in-depth review written by America's Rex Reed, who is bound to cause some controversery with readers. But that's all part of the fun. Films from all genres are featured including silent pictures and TV movies.

You have the option to write your own review for every film on the programme in 'Notes' which will be saved on the CD enabling you to build up your own archive of movie reviews. Other features are 'Listbuilder' - where you can make a list of your favourite/worst/must-see etc, films, plus a list of Oscar nominees and award winners, the greatest hits of each decade and a number of biographies on the film's industry biggest stars.

The only dissapointment is that it only goes up to 1995. So, keep your eye out for a new version.
