Fun:
I picked up the game as a huge fan of House M.D and have ended up being immensely disappointed. The game is straight up, boring.

I thought I would have had an more lenient take on things considering how fond I am of the television show but even as a devoted fan, the game drags with it's pointless mini games and endless dialogue. House in theory should have been the perfect formula for an interesting game, differentials at the white board, choosing a diagnosis; being wrong and repeating however what we've got is mini game, mini game, text, text, mini game, text, mini game and so forth. It just isn't fun to play.

If you're absolutely enamoured with the show, then get this if you really must but if not; give it a miss.

House himself would be ashamed.

Impossible to play! 2 Jan 2011
Fun:
As an ardent fan of the House TV series, I am extremely disappointed with my experience of playing this Nintendo game equivalent. I am a regular Nintendo game user and have been invariably successful and dextrous in handling Nintendo games to date.

In general, I have found the on-screen chat for this House game very boring and unhelpful in enabling me to progress through the mini-games. However, I have a major gripe with completing one of the specific medical procedures that this game requires one to carry out.

The specific procedure of drawing blood is impossible to complete. After tightening a torniquet and cleaning and revealing a vein on-screen, I have found it impossible to pick up and insert the 'butterfly needle' into the vein, as required by this game. Non-completion of this procedure stops me from completing the game I have started.

I attempted to contact the manufacturing company via an email address, ostensibly for providing help, which was given in the accompanying instruction manual. Apparently, the response through my PC is that no such email address exists! No telephone helpline number is provided in the instruction manual.

So I am stuck with what appears to be an unusable game because the procedure of drawing blood is so important to the game.

I am not favourably impressed and cannot recommend purchase of this game.

Fun:
Having read the other disappointed reviews here, I was unsure whether this game would be any good, but as I'm such a fan of the show and impatient for the next series, I decided to give it a try. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The cases are complicated and interesting and some of the mini-games are pretty fun too (albeit a little repetitive). The dialogue is regularly amusing and fits the manner of the writing in the series. If I had to criticize anything, it has to be the linear nature of the game. You have to follow the "script"; there is no free-format wandering at your own pace. For instance, in the differential diagnoses sections, you have to guess the ailments in the order the game dictates, rather than going with your instincts. That said, I found it interesting, fun and highly amusing ... just like the TV show. 4 stars - I only deducted 1 because of the slightly repetitive and linear game play.

it was very good and I enjoyed it, although the smaller games after a while got a little repetative to play.

at no point was there anything to do with a house in this game, if I wanted to be a doctor I would have probably had to go to school for longer and I don't done that for that... Read more

I must be easy to please
I'm enjoying the game so far, reading House's quips, and diagnosing and carrying out 'procedures'.

I guess it depends on what you want from a game. Read more
