3.0 out of 5 stars Allied General- A repeat, 2 July 2003

This review is from: Allied General (Video Game)
This game, like many on computers features a load of seperate scenarios to play. Allied General has some for the German, British, American and Russian forces, and range from attack and defence roles. It also features three campaigns for the three main Allied powers (Britain, USA and Russia) although you can buy French, Polish, German and Italian equipment, however the campaign were a bit of a let down, it's just the scenarios in order, but you can carry on 'core' units from your previous scenarios, or buy new 'Auxilliary' units worth your prestige and unit slots. The graphics are plain, but the control is so simple, it took me 20 seconds to figure it, the strategy possibilities are immense, meaning it is fun to get into, it also features a 2 player mode, or a no player mode where you watch the computer paly itself and see the various strategies it uses, apart form the fact it lacks a tutorial (which is always fun and practical, even if unnecessary) It is stil a good game to own.
