Brilliant stuff from one of the most innovative and exciting bands I've heard in the last few years - they're certainly less chaotic than it their earlier Chickenhawk guise, but no the less worse for it. The million different riffs that used to be crammed into every song have been slimmed down into more "song-y" structures - there's a lot more craft on show here rather than simply beating the listener over the head with a myriad whirlwind of destruction. Saying that, it's still heavy stuff, it still gets stuck in your head for days - but it's the sound of a band progressing from the darkest toilet venues to the bigger stages - trust me, these boys are one of the best things about guitar music in the UK/Europe/World/Universe at the moment...

This five track EP also gives a snapshot of what these guys are capable of, from the lip cracking/lip smacking title track to the simple but brooding "Eleven Years". This is a great taster for the album, which is released tomorrow and will melt your face from your skull and you won't even care about it. Buy this, go and get the album tomorrow and see (and hear) what you're missing.
