My American cousin recommended this to me. He remarked that it was the one thing that cured him of his socially embarrassing habit of slicing up his food with a knife, laying said knife down, and shovelling the chopped up food into his mouth with a fork.
With me it enhanced my ability to coordinate my use of a knife and fork. Indeed at a recent dinner party, my in laws the Fortescue's; remarked favourably upon my new found confidence at the dinner table. My sister in law Cynthia, said very kindly, "That one would never know that I had been raised in local authority housing". I really do feel that I fit in now.
