I think I was expecting more of this book than it was intended to be. I've used mind maps quite a bit (using a great tool called FreeMind), and I was hoping to read about different ways of using mind maps to improve my efficiency and to use lateral thinking to organise the information in different ways.
However, this book isn't an insight into how the mind works and how you can exploit mind maps to mirror how you would like to be able to use your brain more as a tool, but a series of examples of mind maps - and a lot of them didn't really apply to me. That being said, it's well illustrated, and it does give some good case studies and I'm sure some people will find it really useful... but perhaps not so much if you're interested more in the psychological and cognitive aspects of mind maps. As another reviewer suggested, I might check out his earlier books, as I imagine that they give you more of a grounding in the basics of mind maps.
