I love this series. The pictures are drawn simple, which a child can really relate to, and the story line is like a day in the life off... This is one of my granddaughter favorite, "Please read to me," picks. I highly recommend this series.

This book has 7 short stories in it. Each story has a picture and 1 sentence on each page. The formatting for the Kindle is good, with easy-to-read text. The pictures are hand-drawn and black and white. The stories are about everyday things that happen in the life of Mimi (a preschool age girl). In each story, Mimi is interacting with her parents. The three of them are a very close-knit loving family. My 3 year old listens to this book, but it's not her favorite. This is probably because the detailed illustrations are a little hard for her to see well and understand on the Kindle. My 7 year old, on the other hand, loves this book. Lately, it's what he always requests to read. I think this is because Mimi does funny kid things that he can really identify with, such as putting band-aids on her doll and Mama when they are hurt, making a mess helping Mama to bake muffins, and playing hide-and-seek with her parents. He was also inventing his own Mimi stories and writing them in the same simple sentence style as the book is written, so this book obviously has made an impression on him!
