About the Author
Judith Miller began collecting in the 1960s while a student at Edinburgh University in Scotland. She has since extended and reinforced her knowledge of antiques through international research, becoming one of the world's leading experts in the field. In 1979 she co-founded the international best-seller Miller's Antiques Price Guide and has since written more than 100 books, which are held in high regard by collectors and dealers. Judith Miller appears regularly on TV and radio. She is an expert on "The Antiques Roadshow" and co-hosts the popular BBC TV series "The House Detectives," ITV's "The Antiques Trail," and Discovery's "It's Your Bid". She has appeared on Martha Stewart's show and CNN. She is a regular lecturer and contributor to numerous newspapers and magazines, including Financial Times, BBC Homes & Antiques and House & Garden. She has lectured extensively, including at the V&A in London and the Smithsonian in Washington. Mark Hill was a specialist for international auctioneers Bonhams and Sotheby's before becoming Director of an online antiques and collectibles trading website, running its alliance with Ebay Live Auctions. He is an expert on the Antiques Roadshow.

This is not a review of the book but just a warning that you need to check whether you are ordering the GB or the US edition. I unwittingly bought the US edition showing North American items and with all prices in dollars which is of no use so now I have to go to all the trouble of returning it.

I, like the other poor people that have made comment, have also received the US version - which is no good to man or beast or should I say English beast. The original top line description did not state that this was the US version. I ordered in haste, without reading all text..Buyer Beware.

I also bought both the Antique and Collectables Guide as a pressie for my Father's birthday and both were the US Editions! So annoying that he didnt get his pressie and i've had to send them back. Can't find the UK editions...
