This kit is really superb. Exceptionally well moulded and designed in its construction, it's a joy to build. Use a liquid glue and the choice of either Afrika Korps or European theatre decals make for a really enjoyable modelling experience.

A Great Classic Kit from Tamiya

This is a classic kit that has never lost its appeal. This kit helped Tamiya established itself with a reputation for quality when it was first introduced back in the early 1970's. The details are great. Every rivet and every bolt is reproduced from the real vehicle to the model. The five figures included are beyond my expectations. They are well detailed and the fighting poses they are in blows me away. I can't get a better model to build at the price I paid.
The kit contains several sprues all carefully wrapped up in plastic bags. Included are two sets of instructions in both English and Japanese. The instructions are very easy to understand and it includes a good history of the Hanomag which is quite interesting. Assembly was straightforward and easy. It only took me a few evenings to build it.
This classic kit is well worth every penny. There are critics who say that because it's old means that it's not worth your time building it. I beg to differ. Just because it's a classic doesn't mean it's a bad kit. This kit is like a classic car. The older it gets, the more one appreciates its design and looks.

This was my first serious model (when I was twelve). It is incredibly easy to build and comes with plenty of figures. A real treat for those interested in axis armor.

This is part of the great 1/35 series from Tamiya. It contains over 200 pieces, 3/4 of which are dedicated to the Sonderkraftfahrzeug itself. There are many tiny pieces, but good dimensional precision makes the assembly process reasonably smooth. Tamiya's tough plastic also keeps breakage to a minimum.
Tamiya supplies a mounting kit with 1/35 German 3.7cm Pak35/36 AT Gun, which allows a combination of the two kits into Sdkfz 251/10. I did not choose to build that because the soldiers are not designed to operate the Pak on the vehicle.
This kit is the same as 1/35 German Hanomag SdKfz. Somehow, Amazon staffers have not realized that they are identical items yet.
