Bought this for my five year old, who needed to dress up as a worm. A little loose on him, but not so much that he minded.

I thought that the Mil-Com Open Face Cotton Balaclava was good value for money. The product was well made and was comfortable over the face. In terms of appearance, I did not consider the relative photograph shown on the website for Amazon to be a good representation of the product itself. The actual product appeared to be of a much thinner gauge material than the visual representation shown in the online photograph.
I noticed a considerable difference whilst I was outside during the wintry weather, especially whilst the snow was falling. As a design modification, I was unfortunately aware of the tendency for watery nasal discharge from my nose - due to the cold weather conditions. I would recommend some form of integrated pocket area in front of the position for the nose (on the inside of the Balaclava), to allow for an absorbent handkerchief to be stored within, so that as users of this product board public transport systems, the staff who are confronted with passengers who are wearing this Balaclava, are not having to face a stained or discoloured facial covering. The aforementioned handkerchief may then be removed for washing or disposal according to the design options which are chosen for this purpose.

Very thin, synthetic feel and the open face area is rather small giving that 'criminal' feeling rather than one of trying to keep warm !

either my head is too big or the balaclava too small - I think it is the latter, especially as it does not entirely cover my neck, either: tight fit!

Pay a bit more and get something better.
