Mikey Leung

Travel journalist, tour leader, two timer. Mikey Leung has been all of the above and more. The first great escape came when he left Canada in 2002 for a corporate hullabaloo job in China -- that didn't last long! He soon became a professional escape artist (aka tour leader) with Intrepid Travel, which eventually took him to China, Pakistan and a raft of Southeast Asian countries. After meeting Belinda on the road, he decided to take on Bangladesh in 2007 with her as a development volunteer, even though they both couldn't find the country on a map. By the time they left three years later, they had memories, friendships and an understanding of Bangladesh that they hope will last for the rest of their lives. The guide is a gift back to the people of Bangladesh. We hope that, regardless of whether you take the guide, you also visit Bangladesh with an open mind and leave with a full heart.
