Reids career as a stand up spans nearly 40 years from when he got his first stand up break on ITV s hit show The Comedians in the 1970s alongside the likes of Bernard Manning, Frank Carson, Jim Bowen and Charlie Williams.

Mike reid was in my opinion the best of all adult comedians,he had jokes that many have imimated and his delivery was better than any other comedian i can think of,when he passed away the world lost a true comic icon,his comedy was probably not his most famed work of course but those who saw him in his prime know that there was none better.
These two shows are not the best of mike reid though,the repetitive nature of these shows is a shame and not worthy of a release on some grounds,i had heard most of these jokes before and with better delivery,reid is a little flat at times here,the second show,the last recorded show he did is very poor,it isnt a full show for a start and is filmed (badly) in a pub with little interest from the crowd,its a sorry sight at times,and there you have it really,not that good.

What a shame that such a brilliant comic as Mike Reid made such an awful video. Old gags... and I mean old gags... These'll have your granny shouting out the punchline before you can say Darby & Joan. There are better Mike Reid recordings out there. This isn't one of them.
