Mike Askew

Mike Askew is Professor of Mathematics Education, King's College London and is widely regarded as one of the UK's leading experts on primary mathematics education. Mike has directed many research projects that have informed his writing on primary maths. Together with Sheila Ebbutt, he masterminded and wrote the successful primary mathematics scheme 'Numeracy Focus'. Children and teachers alike have enjoyed his "Big Books" of word problems notably for their quirky humour. When not writing or teaching Mike is an accomplished magician.
