Product Description

Product Description

Mikado are ultra-thin, crunchy biscuit sticks dipped in delicious chocolate with one end left bare so that you don’t get sticky fingers. To create this delicious snack we were inspired by the game of Mikado, also known as ‘pick up sticks’, where a bunch of sticks are dropped into a pile and each player removes them one by one without disturbing any others.

Mikado Milk Chocolate biscuits first hit UK shops in 2009 giving biscuit loving Brits perfect nibblesome treats stored in easily transportable snack packs which fit snugly into any handbag or pocket. You may also be aware of it from seeing our cheeky and slightly irreverent “Photocopier” advert which you’ll have plenty more chances of seeing again during 2010.

5.0 out of 5 stars Yummy! 23 Jan 2012

So yummy! I knew about this type of snack as I'm a big fan of 'Pocky' so when Mikado was released in stores and had advertisements I knew I had to get some. It's so nice and the chocolate on it is such a great quality.
For how much it costs to get a 39g box in a supermarket, this price for 24 x 39g is awesome! Will certainly be buying more of these from the same seller as they shipped quickly and great value for money!

4.0 out of 5 stars Delicious 24 Sep 2012

Enough to last most people a month, these are delicious. Be aware that this is the smaller sized pack, however, than the standard size you would buy in a supermarket - making the price less attractive (while still reasonable).

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but they were popular way before Mikado! 18 April 2011

I can't lie. I love Mikado. Any of the three flavours (Dark, Milk and White - you can only get Milk as I write this on Amazon)

The best way you can describe them is like a sweet Jacob's cracker in stick form, covered in chocolate. Alternatively, KP used to do pots of little biscuit sticks with a tiny section of chocolate goo to dip them in. They're like that, but pre-made. Crunchy, biccie a touch bland, but sets off the chocolate perfectly.

But I won't need to tell an anime fan that these things should really be called 'Pocky' :D

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than Pocky 24 Jun 2013

Anime fans will be familiar with these.
What I can add is that they taste better than Pocky (do realise it's a matter of taste though).
I had Pockys and found them rather bland.
Now, this might have to do with the taste developed in East Asia, where maybe they don't need as much sugar to be able to enjoy something declared as 'sweets'.
In my case however, I found Mikado a tastier choice.
