2.0 out of 5 stars Okay, but not as good as the original 11 Nov 2008
Fun: 2.0 out of 5 stars
Having played the first Touchmaster for many, many, many hours, I was really looking forward to the release of a follow-up. I was to be disappointed! Although the games are OK, the high score tables have gone and the games are not nearly as addictive. Trying to beat my high scores and the world-wide scores are what made the last game for me so good and so playable.
Worth buying if you have nothing better to spend your money on, but avoid if you are looking for an improved replacement for the original.

2.0 out of 5 stars Major Disappointment! 30 Nov 2008
Fun: 2.0 out of 5 stars
Like everyone else here I was totally (and in fact still am) addicted with Touchmaster. When I saw there was going to be a 2nd instalment I pre-ordered it thinking YES! more cool games to while away the hours. WRONG! They have added 1 more game worth playing on it... DICE. The rest are either the old games tweaked (not for the better) or boring, boring spot the difference type things. For us English this can also be a little daunting as they ask for some things & you have no idea what they are! American terms are used & I'm not talking words like 'fawcett' for tap or 'drapes' for curtains. They're more like names for tools!! Well whinge over. Let's hope the makers take note of the reviews and smarten up with a 3rd Touchmaster, taking it back to the original format!

4.0 out of 5 stars ... well I love it ... !! 6 Nov 2008
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
Ive read the other reviews and Im quite shocked that others dont seem to love this as much as me.. Theres some really good games on it. I love 'Super Mahki' which is coloured brick game where you remove blocks of the same colour, (they must touch) and try and get rid of all the bricks.

'What is it' is also a good game - a bit like Catchphrase where as the picture appears slowly and you have to type in what the object is as quickly as possible.

'Scavenger' is good - it shows you a picture with loads of small random objects in it and then asks you to find certain items.

'Spellwinder' is set out like a wordsearch - but you the letters arent nessarily in a straight line and you choose each letter at a time, as long as it touchs next to or diagonally to the letter before.

Theres about 20 other games which I havent got to as yet... because Im still busy with the others! A great game for 'mini games'

Only downfall is the multiplayer is a crazy, seems to be neverending... Not sure whats quite going on there!! But overall - a great game at a great price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Yep more touchmaster but better than before 18 Sep 2010

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
More touchmaster i think is better than the previous touchmaster due to the fact that the timer doesn't ruin your game like in the 1st touchmaster and some of the games are a bit better in this touchmaster. This game also has a trophy path instead of a high scores list like in the 1st touchmaster. You earn trophys that you upgrade all the way up to platinum ,the 3 trophys you earn are based on your top score ,bonus rounds and time attacks for the game you play (trophies you earn are in order bronze to silver to gold to platinum) and you can also set a mascot for your player profile.

The games on this touchmaster are...

Combo 11 - Combine 2 adjacent cards in any direction whose sum is 11 ,aces count as 1 ,you score more points by getting multiple combinations in a row.
Carpet - Move cards around the carpet and stack them in order from A to K ,the deck doesn't redraw so try not to run out of moves.
Poker slide - Slide cards around to form as many 5 card poker hands as possible ,the stronger the hands the more points you earn.
Triples - Form 3 of a kind ,straights and straight flushes to score ,if you run out of moves the game will end.
Speed solitaire - Move cards around the playfield and stack them in order from A to K.

Bowling - Bowl for 300 ,position the ball then move the ds pen up on the screen and remember to watch the curve meter.
Catwalk caper - Use the ds pen to guide the robber to collect the loot your partner throws.
Billards - Pocket all the balls saving the 8 ball for last ,the fewer strokes you can hit them all in the more points you earn.
Beaned - Bean targets with paintballs to score points but dont hit anything friendly ,hit 5 in a row to earn double points.

4.0 out of 5 stars Essential purchase for your DS !! 2 Nov 2008
By Gary Hilton VINE VOICE
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
The original Touchmaster was a collection of mini-games with little attention paid to the presentation, but contained 23 varied mini games. Now 'More Touchmaster' see's its return with another 20 games.

There are 5 categories of games; Card games (containing 5 solitaire type games) 5 Action games (featuring arcade type games such as bowling & Billiards) Strategy (with 3 games) 4 Picture games and finally 3 puzzle games.

As with the previous Touchmaster game, presentation is basic but functional, although it has been given a bit of a polish since the last release! Some of the games are very well thought out (the Picture games in particular are excellent) with some of them being on a par with those video games you see in arcades & pubs that have a touch responsive screen where you have to spot the difference or slide pieces of a picture around.

Some of the games feel vaguely familiar, and if like me, you like these types of game them you probably already own '42 games in 1' so titles like bowling & billiards you will already own, and inevitably there is the odd duffer in there, but at this price this is a cracking little title and well worth the money! In fact, I'd say its almost an essential purchase! Highly recommended!
