Product Description

Product Description

SpyHunter 2 is a powerful progression in the mission to save the world from the sinister grip of the global criminal terrorist group, Nostra. Gamers will command an all-new, extremely powerful and customisable G-8155 Interceptor with new transformations such as an off-road four-wheel drive vehicle, an off-road motorcycle and a snowmobile. In addition, the gameplay includes upgradeable offensive and defensive weaponry, as players fend off enemy vehicles throughout massive levels set across enormous regions. A new, mysterious, sexy female agent has also been added to the mix to increase the intensity of SpyHunter 2's fast-paced action.

SpyHunter 2 introduces an all-new terrorist threat and it is up to Alec Sects to command the world's most sophisticated super spy vehicle to save the world. Exclusive weaponry such as an auto-tracking turret and an indestructible armoured shield are combined with landmines and oil slicks for an impressive defence that will immerse gamers in 16 action-packed levels set across four gigantic regions. Each region is interactive and dynamic, allowing players to choose their own paths and fight against giant end-of-mission bosses, including eight all-new Nostra enemies. The excitement also continues with the latest version of the Interceptor's online computer, Leonie 2.0, designed to aid in mission-critical tactics and information.

I know the last one wasn't that highly rated but I liked it very much, clear graphics, loads of objectives, smart car, guns etc - it got me hooked until I finished it.
Spy Hunter 2 though same stuff some things improved but sorry the graphics for the track is horrible compared to before. At least the objectives are not all required before you go onto subsequent levels but then that made you get it right on the old game!

Looks like fun 30 Oct 2003
I played this game at the Playstation Experience. For about ten minutes, before I toddled off to do someting else. This was my first time playing a Spy Hunter, so don't ask for a comparison between the prequel.

From those ten minutes I played a game that was a lot of fun. Imagine a racing game. Imagine a racing game, but your vechile has a couple of quite cool weapons, and after you take a set amount of damage, your vechile collapses into a completely different structure. The finish line is a mission objective - which can be as simple as getting to a finish line ;} - and there are enemy vechiles at your heels, shooting at you. In a word: it was fun.

But I'm not sure of it's lifespan. Instead of playing just one level (with the objective I mentioed above) I kept switching levels, just to get a better experience of the game. To be honest, it was all a bit samey, and I'm not sure how long it would have kept me interested.

So to finish, there was good stuff but not a lot of stuff in all. Graphics were fine, nothing special, and I couldn't even hear the music - it was a noisy convention. If Spy Hunter 2 sounds like your thing, rent it for a while and see if it gets boring.
