A beautifully crafted 130-page graphic novel, a format that's ideally suited to one of Shakespeare's most mystical and magical plays.
The excellent illustration, vivid and expressive, makes it so clear what's happening in the text that you should aim for the Original Text version if you possibly can, for full effect, leaving the Plain Text and Quick Text versions for the youngest readers. It's colourful without being 'cartoony', which each scene presented very emotively, full of contrast that brings it to life.
A handful of pages at the end of the book are a very brief introduction to how graphic novels are made and who Shakespeare was, possibly a little over-simplified.
An excellent teaching aid, but also a good graphic novel in its own right.
