I've always liked Cathy Hopkins books, I think her original series of Mates Dates are better because all of the characters are easy to identify with, but i do like the Truth Dare Kiss Promise books as well but mainly the stories with Kat and Leah, not Becca, i do think this was a fun loving book worth reading every spring/summer, and i still do, it has a permenant space on my bookshelf even after leaving my teenage years!

Midsummer Meltdown'So what's the big mystery surprise?' asked Squidge.
'Can't say,' I replied. 'But don't worry. It includes you.'
'All of us?' asked Cat. ''Me, Squidge, Mac and Becca?'
'Oh yes. And you're going to love it.'
Lia is over the moon because her friends have been
invited to join her family in celebrating her mum's fortieth
birthday in a secret location. It's going to be the party of
the decade and Lia envisages romantic scenes in an
exotic location with her boyfriend, Squidge.
However, events don't go exactly as planned, and the
final guest list is full of surprises. Lia finds herself in an
awkward position when an old flame turns up and makes
a play for her.
It's midsummer, but does it mean meltdown for Lia and
Squidge when the party's over?
This book is the sixth in the truth dare kiss promise series by cathy hopkins. Personally, it's one of the best series i've ever read. If your already a fan of cathy hopkins you should be clicking order right now! If you are new to her work i seriuosly advise you to buy this whole series and all her other books. Her talent for writing is amazing and any teen who likes reading will love her books
