I absolutely love midsomer murders. It may be set in a village and targeted more at older people (I'm 15) but I still love it with the bigoted villagers and beautiful scenery. It reminds me so much of where I live, without the violent murders. Each episode has a dramatic storyline and an ending which you would never have predicted and it's surprising the amount of famous actors there are in it, in one episode I saw Orlando Bloom and in another the woman who played Professor Umbridge in Harry Potter 5 (I don't know the name). Barnaby is of course, brilliant and I can't imagine Midsomer Murders without him and I have refused to watch the new one without him in it. I only critisice one episode; Blue Herrings, which was rather dull and didn't have an exactly dramatic climax but all tv shows have the odd rubbish episode. The rest are faultless, well I say faultless, the whole series is of course completely unrealistic with the sheer density of murders in such an idealic village but that's all part of the charm. If your a midsomer fan then buy this, you will not regret it. I would also reccomend buying it on here seeing as places like hmv sell them at full price (£50 to £60), that may be different now but it was when I last went in.
