Right from the great cover to one of the most awesome and original guitar solo's on the almost side long 'livin' on the hill' this is what makes earlier Seventies scandinavian music so good. Along with the excellant burnin' red Ivanhoe and the truely unique Day of Pheonix this is one album i really couldn't do without. The musicianship is stunning and for once the vocalist is a help, not a hinderance. There is just so much going on that it is hard to recommend anything, but if pushed i would cite the rhythm section which is busy, busy, busy and Frost's guitar work which is constantly inventive, why the band lost it big time on the next album is one of life's surprises (though it is due for a re-release hopefully!) This is the usual Scandinavian cocktail of jazz/rock and folk with the added bonus of some wonderful and emotive flute on the quieter sections. Even now the nordic countries seem to effortlessly produced good, intresting music and puts our dire music to shame. Wish i could give it more stars, it is that good!
