This is Maggie Reilly's 2nd Solo Album if you Dont Count the "Cado Belle" Album which Pre Dates the Mike

Oldfield Collaboration, For some Reason or Other I only recently purchased it in Recent Months and Have been

Kicking myself a bit... Why? Well its the Best Female Vocal Album I have in my Collection for Starters and that

includes a lot of the So called Big Hitters as well..
What makes it Special?? Well the Overall production Quality Sublime Vocals and the Songs Themselves..Not a

Filler Tk in Sight IMO...Ok Ill go through the Tks

1 Follow the Midnight Sun... The Title Tk is a Haunting Song Builds nicely in the Chorus with some good

guitar work on it.

2 So Much More... One of My fav Tks... A quiet Start to the Song that Builds in Intensity..
"EverywhereI Look is so much Brighter" it goes with a Massed String Section
which plays under the Mix trying to Escape.. Brilliant!!.. Play this one Loud..

3 Every Single Heartbeat Another Catchy One..Great little Percussion Thread Running through it..Bit Folky
Nice Song.. "So Amazing" Maggie Sings .. It is To...

4 Oh My Heart Lovely Dreamy Song.. Bit Weepy.. "A Little Piece of Heaven"

5 Tell Me Opens with some Pan Pipe type Stabbing Sound .. Bit of a Anthem .. Another Song
With a Reference to the Sun.. Like this One..

6 Don't Wanna Lose A Percussion Driven Song.. jabbing synths Nice verse Section Mid Song...

7 I Wont Turn Away A Quieter song... Quality Vocals Shine through though...

8 Silver on the Tree/
Angel Eyes Another Album High Light... Takes a Few Listens to Get into ..But Worth the
Effort..Most Complex Song on the Album.. lots of Layers to it...

9 Sunlight Lively Bouncy Song.. nice Guitars very Danceable.. good rocker this one..

10 Only Love My Fav Tk on the Album.. A Brilliant Song... When Maggie sings "Showing you the

Way to Be Free" youll get the Goosebumps... Love the Song Structure.. Great

Backing Vocals as Well coupled with the Wall of Sound.. Great Stuff..!!..

11 Once in a While Relaxing Song Sung Really well as you Expect with any Maggie Song.."No Filler on

this Album"..

12 All My Heart Can Hold Great Song.. The Backing Arrangements are great on it.. Quite a Bit Going on and

youll also have to Listen closely to get the best out of it.. id Say the albums

Headphones Track..

13 Wind on the Water Lovely Album Outro Tk... Bit Folky and Dreamy....

Beautiful, Haunting, incredible 26 Oct 2005
By D. Nattrass - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I am a passionate follower of many styles of music, ranging from classic rock, to folk, to hard rock and much more... and this cd is easily one of the top 5 albums I have ever listened to. It delivers track after track of great songs. Some are beautiful, some are catchy, and some are just haunting, but nearly every track bar maybe one or two just leaves my wanting more. The tracks are mostly very different and bring something else to the table, whilst they all seem to obtain a similar beautiful quality. Lyrically are very impressive.

Highlights include "Midnight sun": and absolutely brilliant song which is perhaps the highlight of the cd.

One of my favorites "So much more", "Angel tears": another brilliant song, these are just personal favorites amongst a group of fantastic songs.

Maggie reilly opposed to most singers these days actually "sings" her songs without yelling and I could and do listen to the album over and over again.. in my opinion her best work ever and I highly reccommend to anyone, this album will impact you.. must have..
Listenable, but not the best 4 Nov 2002
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com

This is one of my favourite singers. Yet the problem with this CD, as far as I'm concerned, is its music, which is only "so-so". There are a few songs that are indeed beautiful, such as Follow the Midnight Sun or Wind on the Water, but one may easily get a bit tired of the other ones - I mean, they are not bad, but well, don't listen to them too often. I give it 4 stars on the whole because the voice is worth 5, and even more. Buy it if you wish to own everything she did, but if you're not familiar with her work, I would advise you tried Starcrossed or her best of There and back again instead, or stuff on which she appeared (such as Sitting on top of the world by Jack Bruce, The naked Shakespeare by Peter Blegvad, the boy with a note by Ralph Mc Tell, and of course Mike Oldfield's eighties releases).
