Received my package in time. The black and gold box, and the heat resistant mat are simply gorgeous, this midnight edition is very well done. Stylers are lighter and very nice designed, leave hair smooth and shiny.
There is just a strange smell of metal when you use it for the first time, a friend of mine that has also the classic ghd's told me it's normal for the first time you use it, hope it will be the case!

I bought these to replace my old GHDs which I have had for about 8 years. They still worked but I thought they had lost some of their 'edge'. The new gold stylers are brilliant, and can perfectly straighten my hair, which is naturally thick and very curly (although not very long), in under 10 minutes. The straighness lasts all day without going frizzy, which is a problem I had with the old straighteners. The styler itself looks really sleek and glides through my hair so easily. I love them and would highly recommend them. The carry case and clips are a nice touch too!

The other reviews on here are top marks but After owning a pair of ghd for the last 4 years my daughter wanted a pair of her own so i ordered 2 pairs for preference the newmidnight and the pink and white limited addition ghd's,the midnight collection ones are not as good, they are not as rigid and when pressing them through my hair they seemed to pull your hair and the arms moved from side to side, the plates are good and did straighten the hair good, but it seems the plastic around the plates is the problem they do not glide through your hair like my original ghd's i already have, i then tried the new pink ghd's and they were brilliant they glide lovely through your hair without pulling,so i had to send the midnight collection back.
