disapointed but still an okay read
on 3 April 2015
As lyra is an alphas daughter she will have to fight to become alpha as the pack wont accept a female alpha and since she refuses to mate to save her from fighting her father asks jaden to teach her to fight. Jaden and lyra are attracted to eachother but interspecies romance is unheard of and not tollerated but they both give in and they end up bonded to eachother.
I didnt think this book was as good as the 1st in this series, it was slow at times and definitley not a fast paced read, theres not much action and when it does happen we are just told about it after it has already occurred, theres no detail about jaden teaching lyra to fight and not much romance. Lyras character was okay and fully formed but jaden as a 200 year old vampire seemed soft and young and his character didnt feel fully formed at all. The story seemed very emotioneless to me and i wasnt drawn into the story like i was with the 1st book, i was very disapointed and i think it was just an okay read, it wasnt thrilling or edgy ir anything really, just okay.
